In this expedition, we will visit two incredible islands of the Mexican Caribbean, Isla Contoy and Isla Mujeres. These are two heavenly islands that you cannot miss during your visit to Cancun or the Riviera Maya. Isla Contoy is a natural national park, it is a paradise that very few privileged people have the opportunity to visit. Known as a sanctuary for migratory and native birds, rich in flora and fauna, it will fascinate you with its paradisiacal beaches and the turquoise blue of the sea that surrounds it, a place you will never forget. If the weather permits, we will do the snorkelling activity in the place where the second largest barrier reef in the world begins, just a few kilometres off Isla Contoy. At the end of our visit to Contoy, we will head to the beautiful Isla Mujeres, an island characterized by the charm of its beaches and its craft market, an ideal place to take home the best souvenirs from the Mexican Caribbean.

We had a magical morning with Jean . We started with a drive through the jungle to a cenote where we swam in clear waters through the cavern surrounded by stalagmites and stalactites with the odd fruit bat swirling around us. Jean was a mind of information which was interesting too. Then off we went a short distance drive away to beach, grabbing our snorkel gear and flippers on to a boat. We were prepared to be in a small group setting but we were so lucky to be the only ones so we got one-to-one attention which was great as we are weak swimmers. The staff could not have been more supportive and we achieved something we never thought possible - to swim and be part of the wonderful underwater world , included turtles. Thank-you Jean and team for our magical experience. Janet and Ian
Turtle swimming - amazing experience snorkelling with 4 turtles. It was a really good experience with close contact with these stunning animals. Well organised trip with a great cenote included on the itinerary too. Dory our tour guide was great too :)
Chichen Itza Private Tour - we had a great private tour with our guide Gustavo. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. The day was great and the cenote we visited for lunch was amazing too!We booked three excursions through TUI with Blue Caribe. All three excursions were early starts, organised and we felt well looked after, safe and well informed. Swimming with whale sharks was an out of this world experience with our amazing, enthusiastic guide Roman. We went ‘chercher’ the whale sharks and found them after about an hour and a half out in the Caribbean Sea. Roman was excellent with everyone on the boat, adults and children, speaking english, French and Spanish and helping us to feel secure on a day when the sea was quite rough. He was very knowledgeable about the whale sharks, the area and very passionate about conservation. Lunch in the sea, on a floating cushion at Isla Mujeres made our day complete. Thank you Roman - we are envious of your ‘office’. Visiting Isla Holbox Is a paradise island you dream of visiting. Damien was our guide. The beaches are to die for, totally breath taking - wish we could have spent a few days there. Jose was our guide for Chichen Itza. This archeological site is such an amazing place, stunning cenote to swim in(remember your swim shoes), visiting the village was right in the middle of the day so very hot, thirsty, hungry so felt I couldn’t enjoy that part very well. Guide knowledgeable, long, hot day - take water and snacks as lunch was nearer 2pm. We would book with Blue Caribe again and fully recommend them. Thank you Blue Caribe
We booked two tours with blue caribe through our hotel reps. One half day trip to the tulum ruins and cenote, and a full day trip to chichen itza, cenote and Mayan village. Both trips were amazing, really well planned and informative, and loads of great views and things to experience. We had Christina showing us around the tulum ruins and she was brilliant and knew exactly where the best bits were, we really enjoyed this trip and would recommend it, a lot to see and less busy than the chichen itza, the cenote was brilliant too. We then had a trip to the chicken itza later in the week with Eric. It was a 4am start and a couple hours drive to beat the big crowds, but in an air conditioned coach it wasn’t a bother and was well worth the early start to nearly get the ruins to ourselves and a few other small groups. Amazing tour, so much to learn and Eric was very knowledgable and made the tour fun, and again he knew all the best spots and best places for some great pics to remember the trip by. The Mayan village and cenote after was great too, the cenote was gigantic, and amazing to see. Overall both 5 star trips by blue caribe and would definitely recommend them both.
This was a fun, fabulous and informative full day trip. Thank you Valantino and Charlie Brown for absolutely placing the biggest smiles of our faces. We loved it. It made our holiday, (and we were already having a great time). Our day started by pick up by mini bus and a quick stop off at a cafe so all the tours could meet up. We then went to the information centre at Sian Khan and walked a very little walk to meet Charlie Brown our skipper on the little flat bottom speed boat. We were in small groups of 4/6 people. We then went all the way through the mangroves. Obviously they cant guarantee what you will see but we were very lucky. We saw sea eagles, other exotic birds and a crocodile. We then changed boats and went out to sea. We saw a sting ray, a turtle, and two pods of dolphins. We were not in the water or allowed to be. These are creatures in their own habitats and we respectfully observed from a distance. We were then taken to the coral reef and along with all the other boats we dived in for a snorkle. We all had life jackets and you didnt have to swim far. Watching the coral reef and seeing so much life was amazing. We then got back on the boat by a little ladder, (this can be tricky). We then were taken to a shallow clear blue area to have another dip. Back on the boat we were taken to a little jetty where we then walked a short walk to a restaurant for a bit of food and drink. Then back on board and we were wizzed back to the minibus. Take sun cream, a hat, and if you have it a waterproof camera or go pro. Share your photos with other tourists. The other tour guide Thomas has some fantastic photos that he will happily share with you. We loved this trip. Valantino was so attentive and enthusiastic to share all his knowledge with us. An experience we will never forget and although one of the most expensive trips we thought it was very much worth the money. Thank you guys.
Amazing turtle swim with turtles and cenote experience. … made even more special by the lovely Dory who went over and above to make sure we had a great day.
Thank you guys, keep doing what you do best ? we will be back xx
